Hi Sharpie
I am not sure about this bit, i queried this zero issue with a German chap on the Thomas Jacks stand and he said you would not need to re-zero. Like you say if you do need to zero then it's a complete waste of time,
atb Tim.
Once you have set it up for a particular rifle/scope, and adjusted the image so that the POI coincides with the 'scope crosshairs, then you should then be able to take it on and off without re-zeroing. Provided the clamp hasn't shifted.
Move it to a different rifle, or swap scopes on the same rifle, or fiddle with the clamp, and it will need to be re-zeroed, as I understand things. If so, its of no interest to me.
I say again, from what I saw, and the limited technical info from the UK salesman and the Belarussian manufacturers, this is not an optically collimated device that can be fitted to any rifle and 'scope with no adjustment.
I looked through it from behind, removed from the 'scope, and as I expected when I pointed it in different directions the image moved. If it was collimated then small angular movements would not have shifted the image.
If I have got this wrong then I do apologise, and expect Scott Country will correct any such misinformation.
Fact is that the adapter is fitted to the 'scope clamp with a bayonet fitting, so it can be removed leaving the clamp in place. A flip-up cover is provided which fits on the bayonet when the adapter has been removed.
If it was a collimated design this wouldn't be necessary, it would be removable simply by undoing the clamp from the 'scope with a lever flick.
It is not a digital PS22.
AFAIK.
Waiting to be corrected.
