I've updated mine and I'm pleased with the results. The image boost function is impressive, it gives a noticeably sharper and clearer image.

hi i have a helion xq38f which i think is fantastic, im not a techy, i dont use blue tooth or record , i just switch on spot then switch of, done, i wouldnt no how to update my pulsar? what should i do, so guys how do i do it and is it worth it, ive just got my old head around whatsapp can anyone show me how to do it atb bs

Firstly download the stream vision app to your phone, switch wi-fi on both phone & helion on, and your phone should find the helion signal, click 'connect'. Open stream vision and you should see your device name on the screen. There's an option in stream vision to check for updates. Click on the update and It'll tell you what to do next.

Firmware updated and so far I've not experienced any issues. I'll obviously need to use it properly to see if there is any improvement in the general operation or any negative effects on battery consumption.

I had previously changed my settings to what I felt was the best image, so I can't say I've noticed much difference when activating the new high contrast mode. Switching on detail boost mode creates more noise / grain in the image, but this may be different when the ambient air is cooler at night.

There's certainly no reason not to update the firmware that I can see at the moment. The profile is switchable, so if you don't like it you can turn it off.

I'll have a play out in the field tonight and report back again.

I upgraded my XQ38f yesterday as it is now and went out for a dander. Well worth doing, a much crisper image. Got 5 foxes also as a bonus.

I did mine, its fine, just adds an extra option and it does sharpen things a little.

I’ve added the firmware updated my Helion XQ38 and it’s a real improvement but a slight problem it seems to have lost white hot? I used to use red monochrome (kinder on my eye) and with a press of down arrow would change to write hot and this helped with long range identification. Now a press with down arrow seems to just change the picture quality slightly, has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for that, I’ve tried it and I’ve got white hot. A short press of front arrow changes the image slightly and long press changes between white hot and your chosen colour palette.

This firmware update has given a significant improvement in resolution with my XQ38 Accolade binoculars. There's also an increase of image noise / interference but I don't mind that.
