Newbie here.
1. Meopta Meostars as a staple for me - I first fell in love with the S2 82mm spotter, then B1 binos (10x42 for my uses in wooded Midwest USA) and now have the 1.7-10x42 and 2.5-15x56 with zm/Meopta rail. I’m comparing these to my Leupold mark5 5-25x56 and Valdada G2 mini which I use for FFP/reticles/competitions (admittedly I don’t have enough friends with S&B’s to compare). The meostars consistently give me the “wow” sensation on glass clarity, color, and SFP reticle size/fineness/speed. I have several scoped guns and the meostar family has allowed me to maintain elevated performance across a number of calibers and seasons.
2. NV- I have a big interest but have yet to take the plunge. Not too many locals with that kind of kit near me. Maybe I’ll learn more and start a local trend soon.
3. Thermal- I love the idea of thermal for scouting and recovery. Long term, I don’t think I can resist. However, I am waiting on the savings and budget to better intersect with (hopefully) thermal market price decreases.
