Raoul Moat:

Isnt Raoul a brazilian name? hmmmmmmm

Good riddance I say..saves hiim sitting in Ashworth the rest of his life at our cost

One less that the government won't have to spend a fortune on keeping in a luxury prison cell. In this current financial climate every little helps.

I agree with you mate but unfortunately it would seem that the bleeding heart liberals are already screaming that he was treated unjustly, a victim of police bullying and could have been talked out. Why - because the nutter wailed about not having a father and being unloved !

An idiot was given time on sky news today to demand a formal review of the police actions. He completely ignored the fact that the police bent over backwards to take alive and that they spent hours trying to talk him into giving himself and his guns up. Not sure i could have put as much effort in knowing that he's shot a colleague.

I know Rothbury very well used to work there doing pest control really nice village,on the night of the weapon discharge it was raining heavy ,this would probably muffle the sound a bit,it has been said that in the news the surrounding area is dense cover ,i would say only in certain areas ,in cragside area it is dense but not like commercial forest density, up on the hill you have forestry were you could hide away, the police must of thought he could be in these areas. So there he is found right on the coqeut river were it isnt dense cover, baffles me how he wasnt located sooner trained dogs would have found him dogs of the lead to do there own thing

Eye witness to the event gives account to the press Association he was jumped on

Maybe it went off accidently on purpose during them jumping on him like a tramp on a kipper

Do you really believe there was an eye witness, someone who was allowed close enough to be fully aware of all that took place. I for one find it hard to believe that anyone would be foolish enough to "jump" on someone who was holding a loaded sawn off, who would want to be anywhere near the muzzle when that thing went off? The thing is a murderer is now off the streets and no longer a threat to or an ongoing expense to society, the rest is rubbish to sell papers and keep the journalist's in work. To speculate that the weapon went off accidentally on purpose, that he was shot by the SAS etc. is just that speculation. The whole affair is being investigated by the appropriate, who will have access to all of the "known" facts and the course the investigation took from day one. However this I feel will not be enough for some people, there will still be cries of conspiracy, Police cover up, and all the usual excuses from the bath dodging loony brigade.

There is enough rubbish out there being published about this affair, as far as I can see it is bugger all to do with stalking so why do we have a three page spread on it?

the scariest picture I saw was on friday night tv, a picture of an armed copper looking at a camera with a snarling, wide eyed look on his face, didnt strike me as a cool, calm person in charge of a firearm.

I also seen that picture and the cop had a Taser but the later picture of the group he was looking somewhat crazy but without the snarl... I bet he was one of the Taser users... not good PR?

What really annoys me about this type of scenario is not what he did or didn't do, and all the crap about SAS or Cops or whatever, it is that the guy was known to be in an unstable condition likely toharm others.
He should have been helped, sounds familiar? Yes a few weeks ago the chap also from Cumbria, do these muppets learn nothing ever, it is unbelievable

Why was he not detained under the mental health act or at least given the appropriate help, I have recently seen a friends son go through all this and he is still sitting in prison due to failings of this nature, a little help which we sought for him was not given, I have no sympathy for the authorities whatsoever all those involved in this should be brought to book, it won't happen and then there will be another incident, the human losses are very sad and awful for the families involved.

However it seems very odd he was tasered then not over powered  surely once you have had that voltage whacked through a person it imobilises the subject? Probably gave him just enough time to shoot himself before he came round ;)

Also I never heard the theory that Ryan had been killed always the suicide story ...

I thought that too he certainly looked like he was angry and ready to use it and it appeared he was gritting his teeth thats for sure Moats relatives may have a valid point with what they say, I most certainly keep an open view on what happened.

The armed police are getting to look more and more like Stormtroopers every time I see them deployed. Think I'll stick to these ones though. WARNING - contains light relief and strong language.

Anyone would think by their appearance, they could be deployed to a war zone, or be seen spilling out of the back of a left hand drive four tonner!,:D

You seen that too, he didnt look sane, totally in the wrong job.

if you look carefully its a tazer gun he is holding looks like he held it wrong way round and zapped himself

 Yeah and the wires must be wrapped around his gonads pulling an expression like that.

I see on the news last night that just before he died they was creeping up on him and one of the tazers deployed didnt make full contact as it was supposed to do which pre empted his actions.
Either way the piccy of that copper with a gurn on his fizsog doesnt look good to the public

All of this just highlights the fact that basic training is not a safeguard against fatalities

I tried to give raoul moat a lesson on gun safety, it went in one ear and out the other!
