Raw dog food……where do you get yours?

Where about sim the country are you mate? I buy mine local from a company called happy hounds works out at about £1.10 a kg sausage mined tripe chicken beef lamb also do combos South Wales it’s really good food

Also supplement it with venison but would not just feed her on that as way too lean a meet on it’s own

I have been feeding some of the Natures Menu raw puppy food and seeing good results.

I can get it easily locally at £4.70/KG but I am interested to see if there are any better options available.

Anyone got any raw food supplier recommendations ?

Time.

Time to get it and time to prepare it plus not everyone lives on a farm or has a garden where a dog can tear apart a whole rabbit at their leisure or somewhere their small kids won't go picking up or playing in a pile of rabbit guts and blood.

For £25 and an hour of my time I can mince chicken carcasses (with venison scraps) into 1kg tubs and freeze them and it's then convenient, not time consuming and is cleaner for the kids. The dog still gets venison bones to chew on and work his jaw and keep his teeth clean.

My dogs get all the byproducts of my hunting and I mince it as well as you .
Its the difference in you playing at it and me living for it I guess .If I’m short of dog food I’ll go out and shoot it not buy it
Whether you live in a mansion or a bed sit ,only bringing home what’s either fit for you or the dog ,and there really isn’t much different , does not require gutting rabbits on the carpet or letting your dog eat whole carcass which incidentally is a recipe for worms .
If time is really that restrictive I feel for you but I suspect your not the hunter you’d like to portray .
Maybe 8m just lucky in that I’m semi retired now and time is on my side .

you have no idea of other peoples circumstance's... .. but you've alluded to it in your own post saying your semi retired and time is on your side..... the other poster explained to you it was time also ... maybe they have young family as well as time consuming job, maybe their other half ...or themselves...simply wants a neater solution rather than half a carcass blootered round property ......doe sit matter what kind of hunter hes portrayed as ?

If I was semi retired and had no other hobbies or young kids to pick up from school and take to their activities and interests and all I wanted to do was to be "a hunter" and save myself £30 a month then yes I could feed my dog for free. However fallow is £2/kg at the game dealer which is on my way home from stalking Vs chicken carcasses @ 80p/kg so it's cheaper to sell the surplus venison and buy chicken and way less time than shooting 30+ rabbits which doesn't interest me anyway.

Maybe one day I'll be dedicated and enlightened as you but for the time being I'll enjoy my life as it is and the variety it offers me.

I don’t think you’ve got the makings of a dedicated hunter mate or you’d be out after the shift ,just saying .
Never fed premium grade carcasses to the dogs ever so that ones out the door .Red offal and ribs is all they get from a carcass .
If you want any more time and motion observations just ask but I’ve a feeling your not really cut out for the real thing .
