The issue is very often the unfreezing of it mate .Allowing it to unfreeze in air conditions often allows the outside to start to turn before the middle is anywhere near defrosted .I’ve fed raw for 35 years with never a problem so I sort of know what I’m doing .Unfreeze over two ,three days in a fridge under controlled conditions .You need to plan ahead for this of course .
Portion the raw before freezing as it can’t be refrozen .I’d rather source my own than depend on another third party and besides its a reason to get out and cull deer .
You and I have both seen the best of any dog work ,hounds more so and no hound expected to run all day would do well on dry food .
