RCBS Warranty - Sportsman’s Gun Centre

Hi All,
Does anyone have any experience of how RCBS warranty repairs have been handled.?

I handed my faulty Trim Pro Case Trimmer to Sportsman’s Gun Centre in Exeter (who handle RCBS UK warranty works) four weeks ago, and still have no clue when I will have it back, despite calls and emails..

This is not great thus far.. Anyone had a better experience?

I’ve always dealt with RCBS direct. They normally just send out a new one. All they normally want is a picture of the broken item

Thanks for that. I took advice from my retailer and was told to take it to SGC.. I hope it hasn’t disappeared into a black hole..

My understanding is the warrenty is with the retailer, they should raise it with supplier not you.
Check consummer law

RCBS warranty is ‘Lifetime’ deal with them directly & they are usually excellent

Legally yes but if you want it sorted go straight to RCBS they will sort it in days.

Fwiw.

When i had an issue with a Die, i dealt with RCBS direct by email. Their customer service was excellent. They instructed the UK importer - i forget who they were now - to send me a new one by post.

American companies tend to be very customer oriented in my experience.

Email the US and they will send what you need I. The post, RCBS have the most excellent customer service

Enjoy the ride there crap with anything apart from taking orders they don't can't fill and not getting back when the item go's wrong ! Once had a brand new rifle turned into scrap after letting them A fit a mod (they cross threaded it and then tried to get it fixed by bob the builder who over cut the thread on the barrel and the new mod looked like the barrel had Ricketts! And to add insults the new scope z6i gen one was locked down with rings that were to low bending the tube ??

Not once in any dealings have I had anything resembling customer service ..... 3x I tried them ... no more.... good luck

I called RCBC once to ask what the thread count was for a die nut, they told me then said they would send me one at no charge.

I entered an online comp, run by RCBS. I won a prize. Got a message from them checking to see if I lived in the USA. I don’t. They are still sending me my prize. It’s only a baseball cap, cost more to post than the value of the cap.

i emailed RCBS a few months ago about where i could buy a wheel level for my beam scales, and where i could buy a new hopper for my uniflow, and a bracket for it they said they would pop them in the post for free, 4 days later they were here from California, fantastic service,

Honestly with RCBS there is no messing about, if you have their gear, they will keep it going!

That’s the reason I only use their dies

I had issues with a Pard scope, stealer I bought off wasnt particularly interested in helping. Got it sent to sportsman, great service. The first time I’ve had it though

Now days I tend not to deal with Gun shops apart from one and that’s owned by a trusted friend!

I buy everything online, stock pile reloading components as when I can get them and I only buy brands that i know are bombproof and reliable
