Rebarreling a hornet.

Any recommendations for rifle smiths and has anyone here rebarreled a 527 hornet? Im after re chambering my cz 527 from hornet to k hornet. The reason, just because. The current barrel is in a bad way but the rest of the rifle is mint and since theres never going to be any new 527s it kinda makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Callum's done a fair bit of work for me in the past (he's very good) but I didn't know if he'd be bothered about a little cz rebarreling job.
I can ask i suppose.
Cannot see why not. Its still the same process irrespective of whether its a £2K action or one worth c£200. In fact there's probably more work and cost involved with the cheaper action, assuming you're going with a barrel blank from a top maker.

+1 for @dasherman
Neil rebarrelled my CZ527 last year (in .222), and did an excellent job
Worth calling him to understand the options and costs

I had a .17 Ackley Hornet made by Callum on a 527 action many years ago. It was a lovely rifle, the workmanship was perfect. I always use Jager now because I get on well with him but as you're up that way and have experience of his work it makes sense to go to Callum. You certainly won't be disappointed.
