Recommend a DIY Target Post Hanger Spring

Hi All,
Has anyone made anything similar to this hanger?
looking for some ideas as going to be making something similar to this for some rimfire plates, so I don't think need to be heavy duty spring. I was thinking of a lightweight 60mm compression die spring or a 3D printer spring.

I took a punt on Temu - these are fine with .22 subs but not with .17hmr cos they bend!
