That's your observed experience on that estate, fair enough. Are you saying that research results from other estates on lead shot ingestion in duck, grey partridge, red legs and pheasant are therefore irrelevant because on your estate you found no evidence of lead shot ingestion in the birds you sampled?

You've got a good list of people now who are clearly against BASC and what they currently stand for, mainly by selling us all out yet you still refuse to see it (god knows how, you must be blind as a bat).

What show are you guys next at? I actually might take time out of my very busy schedule to come down and have a conversation in person, where you can't hide behind a keyboard and actually have to have a open and honest conversation without going over your usual speel. Maybe then we will get some answers?
Conor I'm talking 67 years ago with that one, but try as I might I can find no ingestion of lead in partridge shot over the last six or so years. These are estates where fairly large numbers of both cartridges and partridge are shot. I take over 200 birds off one place to dress and give away and not one lead shot has been found, this on a 40+ days per season. Sorry Conor but IMHO it's all a political scam. I have no dog in the fight with BASC because the high up chap who upset my wife and me is probably dead by now.
I would be.interested to know which and where the estates are and how much they are shot over for you to get your lead ingestion ideas and evidence from.

Ooh! Touchy! Actually, many of my posts have nothing to do with BASC. Talking of complexes, it is clear you have one all of your own. Should I check the aga for rabbits? We wouldn't converse at all Conor if you didn't snap like an angry old granny at anything and everything you perceive as being negative. Do the BASC council read your comments? Agreed. I was a member for nearly 30yrs. They were so good when they had the old team and stuck to their knitting. Completely different outfit now. All very pleased with themselves...for no good reason.

All very well with that research Conor. I unfortunately have only done in the region of perhaps 5-600 post mortems of gizzards in the dressing of birds process after they were shot, not found dead. However I found not one shot in the birds innards except those that killed them. As I said my belief is of a conspiratorial situation between certain parties and the authorities. There endeth my contribution to the subject.

High on hyperbole and low on facts. Your comments on this forum are mainly about BASC and you are not the first nor the last person that has developed an unhealthy fixation on myself/BASC. Prove me wrong by being the bigger man and moving on. As regards lead ammunition BASC has been fighting lead bans since the 1980s. The sacrifices at BASC are the huge amounts of time and effort members put in daily for the sustainable future for shooting. We are moving away from lead shot in the UK and EU. There are moves away from lead ammunition worldwide. It's not about BASC. That's a reality you perhaps now need to face and stop with this tedious self-absorbed whining about myself/BASC.

Lead is not dead at all Bill my advice is to stock up , hopefully the ban will be a complete failure as it has been in other countries that have brains
