Bowie was fantastic, His early work will stand up against anything for a very long time.

A loss to music.

RIP David Bowie, you will be missed.

Don't worry red-dick will be along to upset the apple cart.

A lot of his music wasn't my taste but there is no denying he was a legend and the influence he had on music will live on forever ,

RIP starman

Enough, this isn't about R-D it's about Bowie...

"Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead,
there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you....

Here am I floating
round my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do"

RIP Major Tom...

Not really the time or the place to make light of anyone's passing, joke or not. Dying of cancer is not funny, having just lost my mothers sister to bone cancer. Any stupid remarks on here will be removed.

David Bowies music was not to my taste, but he was a well known figure in the pop world and I am sure will be greatly missed by many people.

Thanks for that, Cancer is no joking matter as I suspect many on here who have lost loved ones will agree.

Regards WB.

Absolutely gutted I seen him live back in 1978 always wanted to see him again but life always seemed to get in the way as it does for so many things a true musical legend R.I.P. the thin white duke your a true Starman now

One of *the* best gigs (Wembley 2003) I was ever lucky enough to see. A few months later they went to Germany, he suffered a heart attack and stopped touring forever.

RIP Thin White Duke, and enjoy your reunion with Mick Ronson. Your work and influence will never grow old.

+1 Common sense prevails RIP Bowie.

Thankyou for the music big Dave. I'm still fearing someone finding pictures of me in the Osprey disco in Aviemore in 1976 complete with my orange mullet. I met him twice through his promo manager Ken Conn but he was just David Jones then.

Another legend gone but not forgotten ,grew up with his music ,he never conformed to any one,s way but his R.I.P .Cancer is evil and takes too many too early
