Even if the OP had not had a FAC the investigation etc would have been pretty ****ty.
Just because we have a FAC does not me we should be some timmid underclass, just stay within the law as you should if you hold a FAc or not.

It seems everytime a situation like this comes up theres the usual spineless wonders quick to point their finger.

Im sure from the many posts around subjects such as this where it would be highly likely an oap being mugged or a young lady being bullied would not receive any help atall !! but hey the all precious fac is still in the drawer.

Shame once again a post transends into an onslaught and judgement of an individual who clearly has been through enough already and knows that his judgement at the time maybe - should of been different but that could of been any of us and we are not perfect like some like to think.
Just because we are FAC-SG holders we still surely have the right to defend ourselves and stand up for what we think is right we have to be carefull and don't forget the human rights angle.

What is unbelievable is the bull$h1t spouted here, the guy got out of his car to square up with the asshole, dumb thing to do, nothing to do with balls - look at the s h it - cart it created. We are no longer talking about defending oneself once stepped out of the car...why ask for trouble?
I would've expected an 'educated' person to have simply known better, this was not about stopping a mugging stealing sweets from a baby or a young lady being bullied - if you cannot tell the difference best to keep shtum. pmsl, here giving wonderfull advice about road rage but so easily full of rage it seems behind a pc...

Ill air my opinion any time I see fit and you wont be the judge of that !!!

Stepping out of a car to remonstrate with someone whose actions may have endangered yours and your occupants life and not to mention that of his own is a personal choice.. Some have the balls to do it some don't !!

Guys stop fighting.
I appreciate the support and understand the people with other points of view. I did not get out of the car to square up to him, only to ask him to back off as he was making driving impossible. I did try and reason with him. He attacked me as I was walking back to the car. I want to make the point that it is not advisable to get into ANY situation that maybe confrontational UNLESS you maybe forced to, i.e someone attacks you with a knife etc, in that case I would not lay down my life to protect my FAC.

I'm staying off the main point here but the same applies to me as I have to work under regular CRB checks one step out of line and your released off your duties as CRB checks are done 3 yearly and it is coming into effect for builders etc.. if working around vulnerable people too. Meaning a running will the law can loose you your F/C and your job too.
I had to send my father in law to sort an issue out with a mechanic who done a botched job on my mrs car as we know what happens when to small angry men get together.

No one can honestly say you shouldn't have done this etc... as we are all different and react to different situations, it's to easy becoming a key board warrior and typing the right method to deal with a sxxt situation in what should of happened and so on.

I work 48 hour shifts and my mrs reckons she can feel the tension off me when I arrive home for my first day off. We are all different and react to different situations at all times.

Sorry but your wrong,the examples you have given are nothing like the OP,there was no need for him to get involved,there was no oap or young lady involved or indeed endangered....and had he pulled over and allowed the tailgater to pass(when he chose to over take two other cars)........he would have removed himself and from the situation at a cost of a couple of minutes of time...........
