Roll up, roll up. It’s all for sale.

Good luck with your move

i think the x 5 adds was not there when i was selling up,

still a sad state of affairs when they are making a mint from the site as it is. ?

Grow up Bob. You made enough out of this site flogging all sorts of stuff. If you had taken out trade membership you could carry on selling. Do you think it costs nothing to run this site then? Yes I shall be retiring next week

We know you pro guides rake it in. Other threads were telling me so!

Is it possible to ask what County in Ireland you are moving to, don’t need anything to precise, just interested ? You don’t have to if you much prefer to keep it to yourself.

My parents used to own a house in County Longford, and we spent many happy times there beautiful country, wonderful people, but that was many years ago.

You have my very best regards for your future in Ireland, if l was to offer any advice at all it would be to meet and know the people and embrace the country and it’s history become part of it, Good Luck and try not to drink all of the Guinness in the first week.

Me, the wife and my two kids are going to the West coast. Sligo/Leitrim/Fermanagh border.
After being flooded out of my house last year and spending the last year putting it back together, I really felt the need to move to a much wetter climate and build a new house.
But this about getting more land, having a bigger deer enclosure and having a warm efficient house that doesn’t cost a fortune to run. Also building a glamping business and all that with no borrowing, no mortgage and a willingness to stick my fingers up at a banker or credit card company.
Despite everything I still feel blessed. I could be stuck in a flat in Hull dreaming of what I’d like to be doing and going slowly insane and fatter

We had relatives from the Sligo area, my father as a young man would cycle to Holyhead take the Mail boat to Dun Laoghaire then cycle across country calling in at our relatives in county Longford then onto Sligo, cheap holiday for him but that was before he married my mother.

One funny tale my father told was that he was cycling round one of the lanes to get to the relatives in the Longford area (no street lights or bicycle lights just moonlight) when he ran into a donkey that was lay in the road....well up it got braying whilst legging it.....my father head over tit shat himself......but laughed at it when telling us kids many years later.

Great country enjoy the place.

It's a great site, well run and informative, and I'd be surprised if admin make the minimum wage for doing so.

Hey Bob,

I hear that the site's owners have each pre-ordered one of these beauties on the back of the supporters' pennies...

Stay a friend of the forum, mate. We all meet everyone twice.

Best,
