Rook Rifle Conversions

What a lovely thing! So different from the treatment most of those rifles received here... Or does the installation of a "slide-in" barrel imply that it was previously bored out to .410? Either way, best of luck. It would be a fine thing to win and own! 🤞

Just by the by, I am about to hand over my Wm. Powell side hammer top lever rook rifle to Holts for their next auction. It was originally a 100 bore, and then bored out to .410 2.5" between the wars. The octagonal barrel was turned down very carefully to make it a proper shotgun, with half choke.

I bought it 20 years ago and asked the late Derek Fearn to make me a new rook rifle barrel for it as well. It is octagonal, and he hand-filed the complete barrel from a match 7.62 barrel. It is now chambered for .32-20 and is very accurate, but I no longer compete in rook rifle events...

I'm onsite at the moment but when I get home I'll try to post a pic of the ejector.
My ejector looks exactly like the one in the thread below.
Martini 12/15 extractor (making my own).

This is a Martini Cadet in .22 WRM. It's got a .22LR 16.5" fluted, MAB, SS, match barrel, rechambered in .22WRM . I got it from a 3P shooter who gave it to me for peanuts because it wouldn't hold sub .5" all day. "What a shame" I said. The bullets come out a bit stretched and quite quickly too. Hornady 30gn Maxis average 2300fps. Crows explode.
