just get your self down to your local newsagent and buy a bouncy ball and drill a hole in it.. plus if your up a high seat & start getting board you can give it a bounce . . . the see through ones would look good..

For M6 thread, pretty industry standard but the thread has no metal insert so I would silicon it onto the thread. Or better get a woodturner to run some up in ebony and add an insert of brass.

Sorry mate, you're wasting your time. They're made from a soft stretchy type rubber. The hole stretches and expands around the bolt knob and then tightens to form a tight seal...best way i could describe the materials is like its a half sized squash ball. A bouncy ball just won't do.
