evening chaps, anyone got a recommendation for some glue for gluing wellies,
my muck boots have come away a bit at the front, there not letting in water as in wet feet, but its getting in and creating bubbles when i walk, sounds odd i know, just want to glue them now before it becomes a problem.

not worn them much when i noticed this, looked at the receipt and it was 2 days shy of a year, so contacted muck boots and told them, sent them a video of the problem, nexr day they said its an obvious fault and there very sorry, i was told to dispose of them responsibly, and they refunded me, hows that for service,

thanks,

Lee

Stormsure is pretty good, good for waterproofs and waders too.

Something like CT1 really strong glue/dilicom type stuff, might work well too

I have tried soldering irons before to melt/weld bits of old wellies onto yhe area.
Never really worked but was in an area that wad always bending/flexing

Iv probably a half tube of that in the garage, but if I know anything, it will be rock hard like all the other half tubes of other things I have👍
You want to try looking in one of my shipping containers it’s half full of silicone all past the use before date the oldest is year 2000.I’ve got a special offer on at the moment buy one get fifty free any colour as long as it’s white or clear.

Shoegoo is really good stuff. I've used it to completely rebuild worn thru soles in my kids shoes. Tough stuff, fairly cheap and I've some that's years old that hasn't gone hard. It also works well on wellies, waders and fabric tears.

all sorted now chaps thanks, managed to cut open a tube of tiger seal and get a bit out, so will see how that goes,
thanks for all the suggestions,

Lee

If that fails a plastic bag over your sock then slip the wellie on works a treat.. I used this ingenious invention of mine for over a year when the Le'Chamuuuees sprung a leak and I couldn't bring myself to shell out on a new pair :scared:
