Scammer alert

Any victims of crime should not fight shy of getting on to them ASAP,we are the good citizens for heavens sake.

anything over £50 and i will only pay with PayPal or no deal, so easy to get your money back on supposed posted items, or if not as described,

PS, &^%*($£ scum

Note this has to be done with goods and services, not friends and family.

I usually offer to pay a bit extra to convert the fee to the seller.

It sounds like he has been lying waiting for the right moment, He's been a member for 4yrs but only 1 post, Goodluck Artur and I hope you get your money back and I hope he gets what he deserves

Sorry to hear this, Artur. Sadly, I think this forum's lack of seller / buyer feedback and comparatively slack rules for selling / buying are a weakness. If you compare it to the main airgun forum, where sales are tightly controlled, All deals are done in the sales thread not via Pm, members have to have over 50 posts to access sales and feedback can be left, it makes it a safer and reliable environment. It's not even just about scams, it's also about time wasters and folk gazumping others. Those measures still can't eradicate all scams etc, but they do help quite a lot; maybe one day this forum will reconsider some of those rules?

If there are multiple people on here that have been scammed make related complaints to action fraud they may take a real interest in it.

If payment had been made to a bank account it should be easy enough for them to trace.
That’s what they do.
Good call, they advised my wife after an ebay paypal fraud, paypal were initially reluctant to do anything, got these guys involved and were refunded in minutes after following their advise

If I'm not mistaken, PayPal policy won't allow transactions for anything firearms related so it might be a difficult conversation with them if anything goes wrong
You're entirely correct if it's a firearm or firearm part. I think they do cover scopes and some other accessories. However, if you pay for buyer protection and try to claim for a firearm transaction not only will they not pay out, they often close your account for breach of terms.

I’ve had two bad experiences on here recently out of dozens of positive ones. Some sort of feedback mechanism would be welcome I think. I have to say the mods stepped in very quickly to help, however there is only so much they can do.

Dear users, I've paid £1000 to bank account user: outinthefield - Tom Russell - Olivia Miller for thermal sight, it was 15th of November and still did not get item. He plays a game with me and he promises every day to bring me item to my address but it will never happen. I asked many times for refund my payment but now I know he is scammer.

Really sorry to hear that Artur.

like wise, iv never had a problem, but im only going on ebay sales, and sellers not wanting to refund you, but id imagine it will be easier than a bank,
