Took no offence, I assumed it was a jokeI was only pulling the Op's chain as who am I to criticise the acquisition of Big Boys Toys!

Ill be honest I prefer glass optics for stalking, though Id certainly like a thermal for foxing.Far better with a digital day and night scope, makes the glass scopes very dated and much cheaper too.
That’s allYea S&B are cheaper than Swaro, I know are the bee knees of glass but Ive never wanted a Swaro tbh, and no hate to anyone who does btw.
Without catching a few strays, I shoot Farm and Hill so I have use for both Illum, BDC turrets and parrallax. And the occassional fox at distance that Im hapoy to dial.

To be fair, I could get illum/parralax/bdc turrets for less in another brand, a Zeiss V8, maybe less mag, than S&B, but with the ground I have to stalk I would say definitely an advantage. But everyone stalks there own way based off of equipment and experience. That’s allyou don’t need, I had a good friend from the Ireland spent a lot of money on optics and then came and saw with me how I do things and that’s when reality kicked in that he has wasted a lot of money on features he didn’t need.
Do as you please, if you want all the bells and whistles, don’t gripe about the price!
Don’t buy a Schmidt thenTo be fair, I could get illum/parralax/bdc turrets for less in another brand, a Zeiss V8, maybe less mag, than S&B, but with the ground I have to stalk I would say definitely an advantage. But everyone stalks there own way based off of equipment and experience.
Not really griping about the price of bells and whistles more the price S&B has on those bells and whistles![]()
Can't fault ya pal Im only jealous. I seriously beginning to think there's something up with me. For first time in life I've got a bit of spare cash all to m myself, and lots of things I can afford I'd like but just can't bring myself to spend it. Then I get angry at myself but still don't like spending. It's annoying.I could but I like shiny things
Im in the same boat, I have S&B, Zeiss V8, ZCO money, buts still a lot of money to spend but also I can't take it with me, ill have my choice researched to death before I buyCan't fault ya pal Im only jealous. So its not so much the Schmidt, besides the Meta, their current hunting line is quite feature poor for the price point if you get me. Its not the price overall its what you get for it if that makes sense. The Polar T96 seems a better offering, and its not even listed on their site anymore, vs what is.Don’t buy a Schmidt then![]()
Dont buy one then buy a cheaper option, I’m pretty certain they won’t care !So its not so much the Schmidt, besides the Meta, their current hunting line is quite feature poor for the price point if you get me.
