Nice photo's Cal, glad you had a good time and glad you got your red. I'm sorry about wadas and his eating habits, it's all to do with his working class roots :D

Ditto gr8 fun week. Sad Tommy had to return to rescue his walkers ? crisps lorry load of tatties but we enjoyed his company while we had it. Excellent sport and teamwork enjoyed by all. Sorry to leave the friday night party early but I was up at 0530 listening to the snoring and managed to pass the DSC 1 at the w/e. So level 2 AW stalks next year please sikamalc ! How many packs of 36 cans did you yorkshire guys rent for the week compared to my meagre bottle of single malt ?!!!!!!!!!!! ATB R

congratulations on the dsc1, me and jonny got through 7 case's then help little jon finish his 3 packs off.lol as mere yorkshire men single malts are stuff of dreams.

Well done Rupert. As you say, DSC 2 next!

Stav may be bragging about his seven cases, but what he doesn't mention is that it was in fact Cal and me that drank the pentioner's beer ;) (Sorry John). Stav and Jonny were passed out on the sofa. Soft northerners!

All the best!

Only joking John....:old:

You'd easily put me to shame up the hill!

p.s. where do you get your knife making components from, I'm keen to have a crack making one myself? I'm sure it won't be a patch on anything you can knock up but i like making stuff....

I have been inundated with concerned messages from former guests about the fixtures and fittings at The Manse since it has been redecorated... in particular they were worried that Malc's roe buck was no longer there.

Well worry no longer - it is still there, neck (very) outstretched, overlooking the dining table :thumb:

Jimbo, most of my stuff comes from Jantz www.knifemakingsupplies.com, however if you want to make a knife from from a pre ground blade and add your own scales(handles) you can make a nice job from sites here in the U.K. "Stav hated me and Johnnie 270 talking as we both like damascus blades on knives". Try www.Moonraker.co.uk for your first attemp as he has lots of items to make a decent knife from. Don't do the scandi grind types, i hate them, oliverandhardy thems mine zimmer frame. As an afterthought went out yesterday and shot two bucks, both going back and good stalks, but Norfolk scenery beautifull as it is in a managed wood does not come close to the ancient Caledonian forest, was a real treat and privilage to stalk there, and great company and crack in the evenings with you guys, :tiphat: deerwarden.

It was a fantastic week, we all made new friends, and thanks again to malc, and sandra for looking after me wadas and alex for the week.

We have mastered the art of the double slice of bread (aka one round ;) ) crisp butty down south of Gloucester. You backward Northerners only have single slice butty technology! :D

No wonder it took 3 attempts to get the photos up! ;)

Drove back south yesterday, thurs, having collected a GSP liver and white bitch pup en route in the borders. That's 8 gundogs now but a Hilux can do it ! Gr8 pics Calvin (the 12 point Royal head is now back in Devon for you) and a gr8 week's sport and company with all you guys. Thanks to all for making it MGM (many golden memories). Also thanks for the expert advice and training for DSC 1 which I passed last w/e. Hope I didn't wake you getting up at 0530 (again) ! Just how many 36 packs of tinnies did you manage to finish ?!!!!!!!!!!!!
