Thinking of getting the above 5 shot I have a fac already so what about cartridges quantity will I be only allowed a certain amount
And will they have to be entered on my ticket like bullets I am thinking of giving up my shotgun certificate and just keeping my fac

You will have to show good reason to have a 5 shot firstly but ammo should only be listed if it is solid slug or very large buckshot if I remember correctly. Why give up your shotgun certificate? The extra cost is negligible if done coterminously

Or even a zoning system for 1-1s like PSNI.

Obviously preferable to have a scandi/NZ model where its the shooter who is licensed and you have what you want within approved categories (and upper limit depending on security).

That really would be the dream.

Ironically NZ are looking at the UK system to base their 'reforms' on, recorded serials, ammunition limits, variations and stupid conditions etc.

Most of them already state there are not enough Police office wallahs there to cover license grants and renewals, so it will effectively be gun control via under-staffing and incompetence.

Wonder how many farmers over there still have an AK/Type 56/AR15 squrrield away somewhere... hardly a concern when gangs are running around with them scott-free! :scared: :cuckoo:

Cindy was on Blairs team. The kiwi shooters should be quite concerned about any reforms

You can only use it to kill agricultural pests etc but not game or wildfowl. You can only use it for targets eg clays of a fa registered shoot, not many are. Etc etc.

Do you have a shotgun certificate already???? If not, you will need one to buy normal, ie non slug, cartridges. Again, I'm speaking from experience
