Selling Venison

That's already been suggested but no harm in seeking to turn the thread into something more useful by way of the above clarifications.

They may even help the stalker the Op' is referring to!

I agree. I found much of the above very useful. However, I do think we would all do well to worry about getting our own houses in order rather than peering over the fence and judging or - heaven forfend - snitching on our stalking neighbours. Leave that to the antis, eh...

I had 2 so called stalkers rubber necking on me stalking a buck bout 2 seasons back on my permission id seen them trying to hide on the permission they had, so feck them I just carried on shot the buck then seen them show themselves so I could see them in plain sight , so I new where there car was parked and headed off to have a word to see what they were all about , but they scampered off in there car before I could get there , what got me was WHY would they waste there evenings stalking watching me for 2 hours so I don't suffer rubber neckers very well and ppl that cant mind there own

Whatever the motivation for the post the fact is no stalker should be supplying their local pub with other than in-the-fur venison unless he/she is registered as a Small Food Business:

Of course if the pub is happy to accept carcasses in-the-fur they in turn must be registered as a SFB which is seldom the case!

This guide is good, but not as clear as it might be. I've seen the bits you posted, but then looked at para 17, which implies to me that to sell to anyone, including butchers, pubs etc. that you need to be registered as a food business, even in-fur.
Attached as a thumbnail, because I can't get it to show at a normal size!

Thoughts?

I agree it is somewhat contradictory and worth a call or email to the relevant Department. They will, in my experience, respond constructively.

The way I've read it up to now either the supplier or the end user need to be registered as a SFB and comply with the traceability requirements etc. Hence my comment:
