E mailed Harris bipods in USA, trying to source repair parts, after searching without result in UK, Just had a phone call out of the blue ... Sportsman gun centre Exeter, seems they are the agents .... part required on way.

That's my first thought - might be a whole lot less hassle. It's just a bit loose - the plug weld that connects everything to the main plate has cracked all round so it needs a bit of grinding and a small weld or brazing. A little inverter welder is on the list when I've got a workshop organised.
