A friend and rifle builder used them for 10 years I thinkThey're great - one of the original turned copper bullets and still up there with the best. I have a few hundred which should last me years.

Same as you, said they were tremendous.
I emailed Johan and he said he couldn’t get them made to spec anymore in the uk
Ha!I didn't say they were legal, but I'm reliably informed that they work very well.
Am sure someone will shout me down but…Im sure if you can have the barrell lenght and can get the sppeds up you can make it work but is a bigger rifle an option ? Ive found Sika take a bullet better than any other species, certainly like to error on the side of bigger is better
I think you’ll struggle with a 6ppc & 1:12 rifle. If your intention is to use this on larger deer, I’d seriously consider a calibre which isn’t “borderline” in it's ability to carry out the job.Anyone using the 6ppc for larger deer? What would be the best bullet weight and loading?
308W is equally good at that type of shot - would post a pick but it’d probably put a few people off their supper, not to mention cause a queue for the outrage busAt the risk of stating the obvious, shot placement is a key consideration in the use of the 6PPC. That the round is inherently accurate and 'sweet' to shoot from even the most sensitive of recoil-shy shoulders makes it a prime candidate for the shot that shall remain nameless but Game Dealers have wet dreams over!
