Great report 
last day (from experience) is always poor, birds know the drill, anything large and daft had already been shot, all thats left are birds suffering from vertigo.
Well done on your grey preservation efforts
they are the sweetest looking little things, shot one years back, keeper asked me if he could have it...... said it was the best tasting bird on the farm 
as he stuffed it in his pocket.
This has been my third season without a game day
