Smock recommendations

Hello all,

So I have an old Ridgeline smock which must be about 10 years old and all the seam tapes have given up. To have it re-taped and re-proofed looks like it would be about £100 so am looking at replacing it but cant find a Ridgeline in a camouflage pattern.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good smocks? I like the extra length on the smock for sitting down etc

I do have a nice Fortis one but it is in tan which is not brilliant when against woodland/hedgerows etc

I have a few smocks swedteam titan excellent tough is long length and has stood the test of time, no longer sold but potentially you may pick up a second hand one.

Another one I really like is the Keela parachutist I have a Mk5 it's only available in dpm pattern but it's again long length very very waterproof and seems more than tough enough, with absolutely loads of very handy pockets available new from Odin or you could pick up a bargain on eBay either the older MK4 or 5, I really like this smock it's easy to put on and take off with conventional full length zip, unlike the titan which is pull on.

i think you meant MTC rather than DPM.

I bought my Riverswest smock secondhand off here some 10 years ago and it’s never let me down or leaked despite being out in some dire persistent weather… it had its annual Nikwax wash and proof last week too.

I would struggle to look past Swazi when time comes to replace mine....... 9 years of tough love and it's still going strong (and waterproof).

I bought one of these from Rob a good few months ago, having been disappointed with my Swazi Tahr xp over the previous winter. I usually wear a buffalo, but if the forecast is for prolonged rain or variable weather through the day I’ll take the smock. It’s an excellent smock and surprisingly breathable. It’s kept me dry in some pretty challenging conditions, coped with crawls across heathery hills and shrugged off pudding through branches in forestry. The side zips help vent quite effectively and the pockets are well placed and useful. If I lost it I would replace it with the same product without hesitation.

You need to get a quadbike..... mine now resembles flecktarn.
