'Snakes' knives

Well here's the finished sheath's for the EKA swingblade, they are slightly wider around the handle than the original ones I have done, as a few people have had to wet mold then to get them to fit. I have now bought a swingblade and can confirm these do all fit ;)

I haven't put any new pic's here for a while so here's a couple of knives that are right at the end of there work, they just require my 'MJ' etching in and a final sharpen.

And here's some other's that are just starting (if you have ordered one and are watching this thread you will probably see yours)

Slabs drilled for pins to match there blades.

Well I had a problem today, I took this one to work with me thinking I would have some time at brake to start sanding the handle, thought before I start I will just rub the bit of corrosion off the blade, pressed it on the bench so I would not run my fingers up the cutting edge and this happened.

I had not even noticed the start of the fracture, you can normally see any after you take the forge blacking off as there is a black line left showing any cracks but not this time, glad I caught it at this stage.

You can see the fracture in the steel as the dull part, and the clean brake I caused with the extra bit of side pressure.

So if anyone has any suggestions on blade shape and would like a knife with that handle, and a 1 1/4" blade there will be one available :-|

Mora make a small neck knife.
May be able to fashion into something like this.

That looks like a rolling fault in the stock to me. Bad luck. On a bright note the structure in the break looks nice and tight. Your hardening and tempering process looks to be good.
