So, what’s your claim to fame?

he is buried in peterchurch i shoot on the ground surrounding the cemetery
Your not doing a very good job as there’s clouds of pigeons round here on the fields that have had the maize taken off!!

In 2012 I had Bradley Wiggins tell me to “get out of the fcuking way” on stage 5 of the Tour of Britain. This was after he had become the first Briton to win the Tour de France!
I’ve also touched the lump of bronze that Victoria crosses are made from. I looked though the register of recipients which was with the brass cascabel, turning to the Rorke’s Drift recipients not knowing I would regularly walk past the grave of Robert Jones VC some 25 years later.

Second claim to fame sitting on the last remaining lambretta bike that was used in the film quadrophenia an all time great iconic british film! 40th anniversary of the making, Roger Daltrey John Entwistle and Pete Townshend sat on this same bike! Not sure about mooney probaly too busy trashing hotels😂

I burnt out the cylinder head on my 150 Li (1959 model) I made, with a file an angled cutout with the thck end at the cylinder and used epoxy resin with aluminium powder mixed in to make it wedge which was in the modelmakers stores at the Humber works where I was doing my poorly paid apprenticeship, well after file smoothing the face it held against the force of the internal combustions until I sold it on a year later. A kind of Devcon material.

Hmm, followed by a career in designing cars. Not sure what to say about that. :coat:

Hey I was only 16 at the time.
But do blame me for the VW Polo steering wheels integrated gap hider that saved them 24 cents per assembly / Umbrella stored in the drivers door in many of VWs range/Porsches/RRs. Most good ideas never get further than the drawing board because the poofy stylists want all the credit for them. :)
