Sonic ballistic Hunt, - a Danish Fragmenting lead free bullet, - have anyone tried it?

The first section of this video gives a good overview of the challenges of the lead cored bullet and why a Monolithic copper style will generally work much better.
And this is what I have found in the plenty of deer I have shot with the 7x57 and 7x65r and the few I have shot with 223 and 243. I never particularly liked having to slip one in behind the shoulder as I often got fragments rupturing rumen.

Even with the little 51gn monolithic bullet in the 223 I would be confident (although not legal so I won’t) in shooting pretty much any deer in the UK.

Hello again Heym, and once again thank you for contributing :)
Yep, i quite like Spoomer, who tends to be a sensible guy, and one who has understood that there is probably a niche for actually speaking honest sense, rather than pushing a certain cartridge, powder or brand in general.

In the end I shall of course have to make my own experiences in the field, but yep, understanding how your given chosen bullet works when it hits the animal a given place, and then being skilled enough to put is there, is key i reckon. Be that with lead or non lead. 👍
And we agree on the petal thing potentially rupturing things, it worries me too, a bit, at least if one doesnt adjust the classic boiler room poi when shooting. But as you say, one can chose to do that, if using bullets like the sonic.

As for your 223 comment, wasnt there a famous gun writer of yesteryear, who had a line about the 220 swift, or was it the 22-250, being the deadliest round he had ever used, barr on bear ?
