Spaniels paws

Our springer seems to be forever licking at her paws, she has been at her front paw the last few days and I have had a good look around and can’t see anything stuck in it (thorns etc)

But she has a red inflamed but shown circled below - any ideas?

Cud be a thistle mine sometimes get one in like when you get one in your boot stockens & only feel in now & again

Keep it clean salt water bathing, It's surface only by the looks of it, so should resolve quickly. But, can be a penetration you can't see
