Many thanks. All the markings have worn away on mine and I can't remember what size I bought. They are roomy in width and toe box though so maybe the same size as a normal shoe? I used the felt insoles and never had cold feet, lovely.

measure your foot length, point of big toe to heel, with your heel against a wall. Add 20 mm and compare on Lundhags sizing guide.

Boots are a very personal thing. Some like high leg type boots, some ankle height, some leather/fabric, goretex lined/unlined and so on. I’ve always found Danner/Matterhorn boots very good if expensive new. You can get military surplus (issued for Bosnia) on eBay for not much.
