Stalking Directory / H4H Shoot 2011.

Macberran has just informed me that he and his family have made the same very generous offer this year as they did last year, in that all proceeds from accomodation at their self catering cottage occupied by site members that week-end will be donated to H4H. The cottage is about 10 minutes from the range. The cottage sleeps three.
The bad news is that a pig may not be ready for the hog roast in time, however the good news is a Hebridean lamb will be. So it will be lamb rolls with mint sauce this year instead.

mike sounds a good format well done for getting it all sorted i thought the indoor range was fine last year
and the improvements to the yard will make it better still .
as for the date your never going to please everyone pick one stick with it job done .
ive got a few thousand day olds coming on the 15 th but pretty sure i will make it .
Also id like to put up a days stalking on the bucks for a draw prize or auction
I will leave it to your discretion how you do it

I'm still thinking at the moment of the best way to maximise the amount that can be raised using these very generous prizes donated by you and Pete, bearing in mind the true value of such gifts. The other reason why I haven't actually put anything in the H4H section of this site yet is that I haven't had time to yet.

Oh and by the way, just because you have both donated a days stalking as prizes you still can't borrow my rifle this year to humiliate me!

For all those that have sent me messages over the last couple of weeks I do apologise but I have been away on holiday and have not been able to respond, I will reply in the next day or so to each and every message received.
Those that have requested details of the H4H shoot have been noted, and I will send you the details by email shortly provided I have your email address if I haven't already done so. Mark, please pencil me in for two shirts I will get back to you on this either tonight or tomorrow. I received your deposit yesterday and bandit country’s on Friday but so far you are the only ones who have sent entry deposits for the H4H shoot. It’s mainly my fault because I have been too busy to chase things up what with work, holidays and replacing the club house at the range. I am just about to set off for the range for the fifth day in succession preparing things for the delivery of the club house later this week. On top of that I am getting over a heavy cold and have lost my voice.
It’s my intention to devote tomorrow to the Stalking Directory /H4H so stand by for a flurry of postings and emails in the next day or two including details of the draw which has some superb prizes donated by Roedinator and BenC.

Hi Gunner, I have received your pm and look forward to meeting you on the 19th June.

Now come on the rest of you guys, I’ve received very few deposits/ entries yet and we are now only 6 weeks away. Let’s see some cheques coming through the letterbox so that I can reserve your place. Don’t forget that you can’t simply turn up on the day and expect to shoot, it is a pre-book event.

I have to put my hands up and say that I have been promising to post further information and details on the site and haven’t done so yet. The reason is that I have been extremely busy since returning from my recent holidays with either work (don’t they just build it up and await your return), or changes being made at the range. I spent two whole days working at the range last week removing the old club house and I also visited the range on another three occasions to meet people or make arrangements. It’s a fifty mile round trip for me to the range from where I live but I am determined to have the range looking clean and tidy with a brand new club house for the Stalking Directory / H4H shoot. I’ve also had the dreaded bug that’s doing the rounds and after a week finally succumbed to nagging from the wife and daughters and made an appointment with the quack. One and a half hours waiting in a packed surgery certainly hasn’t made me feel any better, I just hope the antibiotics work!

What will make me feel better is to see deposits arriving on the doormat so that I can see that this year’s event will be as enjoyable as last years. Nay forget that, this year’s event will be better.

I'll second that Mike! Last year the twenty shirts I took sold in the first hour. I then had to re-order another batch for which people had to wait. I will post a deadline for these shirts very soon, I can't ask the printer to hang on indefinitely.

Thanks for the offer Gunner - early days on that one yet. We are currently working on the range with the old club buildings removed last weekend and a brand new one planned to go in today. Unfortunately a slight problem has arisen and that will probably go in next week now. A break down in communication has resulted in tractors and other plant blocking our access to the range and moving a 32' by 10' container in a tunnel entrance ballanced on two fork lifts with only inches to spare in the entrance isn't easy.

The actual setting up of the range nearer the event shouldn't be too much of a problem, what I do need now is actual entries submitted and deposits banked.
