Be careful Scudd - them boyos are dangerous!Hi does anyone know of any outfitters who offer stalking for boar on foot, it's something a friend and myself would like to try. I appreciate it is probably not the best way to hunt boar and the success rate is likely poor. I've enquired with a company in France but the prices they quoted would make your eyes water.
Any help appreciated, thanks
Appreciate not on foot but interesting, out there there maybe still a very fine cup and wonder if raf still have it or it’s history?
Anyways it involved some steel![]()
That is as dumb as it gets...going into a wounded boar with rifle slung over shoulder......Dar wins.Be careful Scudd - them boyos are dangerous!
I have an as built Sabbati 12 o/u smoothbore with rifle sights and a barrel length of 18 inches for this purpose.Yes, it is a question of seconds. Semi auto shotguns are better than rifle with scope when going after a wounded animal.
Hmm. If it’s a male boar I take it you save one round to escape from a horrible fate?I have an as built Sabbati 12 o/u smoothbore with rifle sights and a barrel length of 18 inches for this purpose.
Actually with their poor eyesight in comparison to the deer species they are, once spotted a very easy animal to sneak up to. With wind in face and stealth of foot it will get you very close to them.We got a couple, no different to stalking any other species really.
