I had 3 of the 3-9 x 36 versions. Absolutely excellent clarity.Zeiss Diatal-C 4x32
Yes , I do , as do a number of others I hunt with .Scopes !
Just a quick question, anybody still shoot with open sights these days.
I've got the same scope mounted on a Brno Model 2 , it's a great little scope .I have a fantastic Tasco Japan 4x40 which I have earmarked for a rifle
Lovely view through the thing, properly bright
do both ad hoc, not hard with a good zeiss, swaro or S&B 4x.. to shoot at 75 meters with open sights; could shoot 300 meters with 4x
I have two Zeiss Diatal-C 4 x 32 mm scopes (and coincidentally also a Pecar 6 x 45 on my Ruger #1 in 22 Hornet) and wouldn't part with them for any money. They must be 30 years old if my memory serves me and they are still clear, bright and accurate. Come rain or shine the light gathering for a late stalk is amazing. If you find one grab it and explain it to the wife after the fact.I was out with an acquaintance the other evening and got no end of earache from him over the Zeiss Diatal-C 4x32 "museum piece" as he called it on my elderly .308. I love it for woodland roe and fallow because it is light, low over the bore, crystal clear, bombproof (never had to adjust it in years), has a wide field of view and I can see the target all the way through the shot and follow-through. I also like to stalk in close and have never taken a beast more than about 130 yds away, so it does me fine. Then I thought about it and realised that its a good while since I saw another one on a stalking rifle. So, am I the only one left? My Dad and his pals used nothing else 40 years ago - in the woods and on the hill!
Anyone else still using one or is it really me who is the "museum piece"? (I'm not anti big scopes - I've got a Pecar Champ 6x45 on my HMR!!!)
The OP might have lost interest now…..he hasn’t been on here for near 5.5 years.I have two Zeiss Diatal-C 4 x 32 mm scopes (and coincidentally also a Pecar 6 x 45 on my Ruger #1 in 22 Hornet) and wouldn't part with them for any money. I will take my quality x15 scope stalking and you can stay in the garden...I’d take a quality low powered scope over a higher powered cheapo scope any day.

I have a Meopta R1 1-4x22 on my Mauser M03 that is my range scope. It's sighted in for my fmj practice rounds. Whilst it's a modestly priced scope it much better quality than a supposed full bore scope that I have on my .22. Stupidly I got talked into buying it when I set out to buy another Meopta for the .22. The jap scope is adequate for the .22 but not in the same class as the Meopta. I do swap to a S&B Exos1-8×24 when shooting driven game. The Exos is in a class of its own quality wise.I’d take a quality low powered scope over a higher powered cheapo scope any day.
