Hmm.
I used to have a 4-6 S&B (I think) on my .22 - always amused me as on low power you could see most of the barrel through the scope.

The Z6 goes 2.5-15 so any where between those often in woods (if time allows) wind back to low mag and through the range to see if any thing might be in the way.... but a fox in the 250yd range and a good rest then 15 yes.
I use anything at my disposal to get things done as you don't want them getting up, however I draw the line at a fixed x4

I too wouldn’t used a fixed 4, but isn’t it nice to be able to go down to 2.5?

Not really TBH but I do wind it back before walking up to deer as you never know
