Stop buying Swazi gear

Everytime i see Davey boy online with another impressive big game animal I think about how his overpriced wares are funding his travels.

Not the sort of thing you want to see after forking out a shed load of money! Made in Vietnam!! And of course having the thought of lovely Linda with her hands all over your suit, can be quite invigorating😆 unless you see a pic of her in the factory all big fat and spotty with goofy teeth😂

& I bet they still made money at half price!
I’m not against people making a living but some things have just gone daft - just had a brief look at ArcteryX. Moan about the price, strewth, web site should carry a health warningo_O
Sign of the times unfortunately, probably get worse Through the winter, no drivers, ice and snow, everyone getting goods online, clog up the system, no deliveries on time runs into shortages for the panic buyers, FMOB :coat:

Were you tempted to book a zoom product consultation with one of their sales persons?

I note they clearly do not like referring to hunting when setting out their product categories.

Having field tested a Swazi jacket over a period of about 4 years, I was quite impressed with the jacket. However the lining started to part company from the coat itself and the main zip on the front gave up on me.
I contacted Swazi but the response was pretty poor to be honest. So the coat now hangs on a hook on the door of the bothy. Probably bin it when I am down this Thursday.

Still have the Sweedteam coat and trousers which are still going strong after 3 years.

Just got one of their jackets and very dissapointed to find they have now moved production to Vietnam.

Material, sizing and design have all been downgraded but price is still high! Rustles like a crisp packet!

What has happened to all their NZ manfacturing staff?!

Never buying their gear again!

I’ve used Swazi for years in some of the most remote and harsh environments on the planet and it’s served me well. Their Agies felt more flimsy then the old goretex and initially I was sceptical, but it’s kept me dry week in week out on trips. And that’s all that matters to me, I don’t care who sews it (unless it’s child labour), I just want it to last a long time and keep me dry which Swazi does!

Here is an alternative, but no doubt people will complain about the price! 🤦‍♂️

Now that does look like a handy smock.

Expensive yes, but what price on comfort? I am heading to Norway at the end of the month so I will keep my eyes open for them. I have a feeling there could very well be one coming back with me if I can find them.

SWAZI have changed the material as well, does not feel anything like the old stuff which had a 'peached' outer surface and was quiet. The new stuff rustles!

Just buy Arcteryx-doesnt let you down and quality is top notch

The only thing to moan about may be the price but it works, it lasts, comes in a variety of colours to suit terrain and you won’t be judged in the “shooting fashion parade” that you see when folk get together 😂
A lot of Arcteryx stuff is made in Asia as well as Canada and the company is also owned by Chinese, Don't get me wrong it's good gear but just goes to show not everything made there is rubbish

Sadly so much top end clothing is being made in China.
I have just managed to track down an orginal Musto Highland jacket which was new with tags made in the UK.
