Anyone else had this issue ?
Cycles normal cartridges fine was just trying to make it a bit quieter so bought a box to try and stupidly thought as 32g would be fineWhy were you expecting them too?
Most auto shotguns either need enough gas to cycle or inertia depending on mechanism.
If however your gun was cycling and has now stopped remove all oils and greases from the complete action. It simply likes to mix with combustion materials to make a sticky tar.
Yes. 2 Keepers I know own Ruger 10/22's. The only reliable ammo to cycle the action is CCI subsonic 40gr. They have tried Winchester, Ely, Remington with mixed results.Anyone else had this issue ?
Won’t be man enough to cycle…These are 12g not rifle ammo , just checked they are actually 28 grams not 32s
Why are you surprised ?Anyone else had this issue ?
Didn't give it much thoughtWhy are you surprised ?
There’s a reason hushpowers are generally break action or pump action shotguns.
Unfortunately you’re no going to get subs to cycle properly so it a fully moderated single shot or partially moderated semiDidn't give it much thought
Apologies. Shotgun not Rifle. RTFQ!Yes. 2 Keepers I know own Ruger 10/22's. The only reliable ammo to cycle the action is CCI subsonic 40gr. They have tried Winchester, Ely, Remington with mixed results.
Eley is the quietest. CCI does give the occasional crack.
it does rely on how clean the rifle action is.
I have an old beat up Baikal hush power about a half mile long.I have a winchester SX4 and reliable cycling needs 30g and above in 70mm cartridges. Do you get much noise reduction using the mod with normal cartridges.
I have toyed with the idea of a mod but it's the extra length that puts me off.
