T50 vs T67 in Red for spottng/scanning ?

If you are scope mounting then you are limited by size. Even if you are carrying size matters :).
I lamp with a pal who has a t67 and it's great for long distance spotting, a bit big though.
If I was on my own I'd probably opt for a t50.
It would be great to see and handle different models but that's not easy.

I lookmat it this way as i have all the sizes here mentioned,

Air rifle and 22 lr t20 /t38 are fine
17 hmr t38/t50 fantastic
small cf to larger cf t50 or single cell t67.

For spotting both the t50 and the t67 are great, I use the t50 ir on the drone, well I will when I get back on my feet, but my mat has the single cell t67 ir and its just silly what distances we can see with it on the drone and his best shot yet was a 200 yard Charlie in a open field just last week,

For the money they are cracking torches and each has it's limits, I felt that to spend the money on the nm800 was a lot of cash, and considering I got all the above for well under the price of a nm800 says it all.

Bob,

Bob,
Does the T67 give that much more performance to warrent the extra weight and cost ?

hi matt IMO it's worth that bit more, if you are on face book look up a lad called irbuilds Ian is up in Scotland and builds some of the best lamps around, drop him a pm thing on face book and take it from there bud,
I
Wish you well, I love the 67 in the truck and the 50 on the dronepromis just right for me too, :)

Bob,

I've been trying to educate myself again. I found the video above quite useful. It gives ranges and running times of the various sizes of torch at around 7:30.

Does anyone know if you can get green glowing tail button caps for these T-series lights like you get on the NightMaster products?

Well T67 in red was orderd (£36 delivered) and am happy with it from the little ive played with it.
I now have a bit of a light collection:

Ultra-fire, white, running 1 x 18650 with red and yellow filters.
Ultra-Fire, red, running 1 x 18650, single mode.
NM Venom Strike with twin battery body in red set up for rifle mounting.
T50 stubby (single battery) in red.
T67 twin battery body in red.

I think thats plenty in the collection to have a spar in each car also. :D

Looking forward to getting out over the next few weeks and putting the T67 threw its paces.

Thanks for all your input guys.

Matt, I'm not too sure that this is what you are asking about but i have a complete spare "Push Button (On/Off) Tail Cap" that fits on a T67 (Complete with the ribber cap on the end). My T67 came with this plus the complete Rat Tail switch but I don't have need for the "Push Button End Cap" and only ever use the Rat Tail.
If it is the complete Rear push button switch you are after then send me a PM with your full postal details and I will get it to you to help you out.

Thanks for the very kind offer Pete, it was just the rubber membrain if you like i was wondering if you could "up-grade" to a glowing one like the NM range !

Not to worry Matt. As for "upgrading" to the glowing one like the NM ones I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that.
