T8 re-finishing

That's my point! I can clean any non-strippable moderator the same as I clean my T8, as I don't clean it at all!
Why on earth a centrefire moderator would require a 'deep clean' I can't begin to imagine - certainly none of mine has ever seemed to require this, which is just as well as they're all non-strippable.
:)

As Jager has said above, the T8 'goes from the inside'. On a fully strippable mod, you can see and prevent this. As I say, each to their own, but I wouldn't go for a T8 again.

Even some strippable mods will show signs of wear, its unavoidable considering the environment inside the mod...

Coating the outside has it benefits, it does protect it from the elements and there is a huge choice of colours as well, so for a reasonable price its worth a look.

Jager - what do you coat them with & what are the chip-resistant qualities like?

Do you have any pics of mods you've done in the past... id maybe be interested in getting my 2 done.

Cheers

Dale

I use Cerakote (3D Ceramic) on the mods, it doesnt chip, not that ive seen or heard, it is also solvent resistant and wont burn off.

I dont think its mentioned in the website, but could well be wrong....I have a T8 on my .243, and it's almost new, so, hopefully wont have to bother for a few years yet...:)

Tho I really like the T8, I'm now finding they are a tad heavy for me..., and not sure if I would buy another one..
