It is difficult to comprehend how they can go from being the cutest, cuddliest little munchkins....to something that tries to get through the fence to get at an alsation the next minute!!!

I have a miniature wire haired teckel, ok it was my daughter's 18th birthday present however it is an awesome tracker but won't face thick cover (unfortunately). At home she plays with a ball (a better dribbler than Ronaldo) and squeaky toy relentlessly. Is this the same with all teckels?

I put these pics on the wild boar thread but they fit here too. The sister of our Hendrix, a bitch named Himera was wounded on a boar drive earlier this year. She has now recovered and her owner/breeder has tried her in the boar pen to see how she would react. It is safe to say.....she hasn't lost confidence!

They often skirt around cover when tracking but will certainly drive through it when hunting.

My two are as different as chalk & cheese one only goes in when there’s something in there and the other just ploughs on through, couldn’t be any different

both work well, just different ways - result is the same
