Just replaced my fridge thermometer with one of these. Great for £8, it logs the data which will update via Bluetooth on the app. Very easy to set up. It doesn't have a display, data must be viewed via the app.
The issue with connection I think is more to do with the batteries than the unit. I have Govees and have had the same problems. I've put lithium batteries in the freezer ones, as standard alkaline batteries are on their limit at -18, lithium are good to -40.Can’t see on the description if it works at freezer temperatures? My Govee WiFi ones keep having connection issues, so I’m looking to replace them.
I don't know about this one but I have found that the batteries don't tend to last long when they are in the chiller. Very pleased with the app, it automatically adjusts the scle to the range that the chiller is running at, showing the min/max for that period. Can’t see on the description if it works at freezer temperatures? Yeah, just go into the settings in the app and Temperature Units is the first optionAnybody know if the unit can be changed to degrees C instead of F?
Hi, my chiller is in a shipping container… no Bluetooth connection from outside.Just replaced my fridge thermometer with one of these. Great for £8, it logs the data which will update via Bluetooth on the app. Very easy to set up. It doesn't have a display, data must be viewed via the app.
Yes, it logs the data for a long time, I think about a year. So as soon as it reconnects it will download the historical data to your phone.Hi, my chiller is in a shipping container… no Bluetooth connection from outside.
Will the unit update to my phone when I enter the container with however long it has lost connection for?
Thanks in advance.
Click at the top where I have marked on the attached pic and change the name.Anyone know how the "rename" the model number so you have a unique identifier? I have 2 and they both come up as the model no (1) and (2)![]()
In principle, yes. But you may need to force it to update (swipe down or sync depending on model). It may not automatically update as soon as you walk into the container.Hi, my chiller is in a shipping container… no Bluetooth connection from outside.
