Though not acceptable in the UK,
still interesting enjoy.

Absolutely acceptable. Just not legal in commie UK.not acceptable
The price would be for 3 not 1 then...!Very nice. Did he only have one arrow though? He could’ve shot three!
People struggle with rifles if you read various accounts during the year! I could just see the "good reason to possess" box filling in withIts a shame Its not legal here in the uk so many of my friends bow hunt over seas with great success, sure Its overall a much tougher activity with a lot more thought behind each shot but Its such a rewarding practise!
Would of been a good chance too enter crossbows into the hunting space with them being licensed, but I'm pretty sure there banning broadheads? what sucks because whilst field tips are the norm too shoot with, you still have too learn your broadheads flight If you wish too hunt outside the country, especially with compounds but It still matters with crossbows!
I do archery competitively and I shoot compound, I’d not go bowhunting with a recurve because there’s too much risk in it imo and it’s a risk that’s needless when Compound is there to be used with higher speed and impact force and accuracy.People struggle with rifles if you read various accounts during the year! "because I want one" Far too medieval in my opinion as for the re-load time and distance a deer might have run too then it could well be out of range
It’s laughable they want to ban Broadheads, as if your field point isn’t capable of killingIts a shame Its not legal here in the uk so many of my friends bow hunt over seas with great success, sure Its overall a much tougher activity with a lot more thought behind each shot but Its such a rewarding practise!

With the best will in the world (thank God) it will be left to field targets and not a quarry listI do archery competitively and I shoot compound, I’d not go bowhunting with a recurve because there’s too much risk in it imo and it’s a risk that’s needless when Compound is there to be used with higher speed and impact force and accuracy.
If you take your archery seriously then reloading it can be done maybe a couple second more than a rifle at most, if you had common sense you’d never fire a shot past 40yrds and you’d know your equipment the arrows would be balanced and tuned to the bow and you’d be accurate to 40yrds with a 3” group.
Absolutely nothing wrong with a bow for hunting, but it’s far more about the user and there ability’s and knowing your limits.
There is zero reason bowhunting should be illegal here but typical commie uk with its ban of public land for any recreational use bar camping etc
You could open up the public land to bowhunting and force bow hunters to pass competency tests every season and lottery tags and it would be perfectly safe and practical.
Medieval it isn’t

Typical non free thinking narrow minded British I know best attitude that I personally find sickening and why I loath the British mindset. With the best will in the world (thank God) it will be left to field targets and not a quarry list
If it was viable then quite simply it would be in place as the Bow & Arrow roots are back to beyond Medieval times, lots of countries allow it which is fine and put in the right place they work (just not in the UK)
I have asked a couple of PH's what the back up is for their bow hunting guests on Lion/Buffalo with the answer " a nitro express" lol
My question is have you been on an overseas trip using Bow & Arrow ?![]()
Good stuff, but I shoot lead and want to keep it...Typical non free thinking narrow minded British I know best attitude that I personally find sickening and why I loath the British mindset.

The only reason it’s illegal is because of the 1968 act that didn’t specify it as a legal method. Nothing more or less, it was never outlawed and again let’s take a look at who makes the law of the land that rules over the rural ? Oh yeh your posh toff city dwelling bawbags who have never seen a cow in a field let alone a deer. Any archer who is competent with a Bow would have zero issues placing an arrow on a deer.. especially with the modern equipment we have today. I’ve done archery for 3 years now, I can hit a 4” bullseye in a 3” group with consistency out to 70yrds zero issues. Archery is all about knowing your equipment and it’s a fk tonne more complicated to set up than any rifle ever will be but if your competent and know your equipment and ability’s there is zero reason a big broadhead steered through a nice heavy arrow shaft wouldn’t kill a deer as quickly or humanely as a gun. With the best will in the world (thank God) it will be left to field targets and not a quarry list

Yeh an arrow uses a stainless steel broadhead (less your making some kinda joke and I’m just interpreting wrong) also I don’t think anybody is arguing or saying the bow and arrow should replace guns because it shouldn’t. but it shouldn’t be outlawed and should be another option for huntingGood stuff, but I shoot lead and want to keep it...
Lead arrows are all buty useless but a copper one might work![]()
Glad you got to use it overseas, what was it you put on the deck as it would be interesting to read...The only reason it’s illegal is because of the 1968 act that didn’t specify it as a legal method. Facts are facts
I’d like to see it legal here there is zero reason for it not to be. Unlike your rifle you shoot from 120yrds your maybe 30yrds generally off a deer with your arrow and using your tuned bow with fixed pin or adjustable sight your never gonna miss the wrong spot.
Put it in the right place to work ? What a field with deer ?
Stop being so narrow minded as to thinking
The bullet from a gun is the only ethical way because it isn’t I promise you. And Yes I’ve used my bow abroad
