The Creedmore isn't perfect!

I was using a .22 Springer in the spring just gone, shooting rabbits at 25m + metres

The big problem here really is that people don’t want to go and play and shoot bullets at different ranges because they’re expensive £80 a box in years gone by when I was doing load development admittedly that’s something I don’t have to worry about now but wouldn’t be uncommon for me to shoot 20,30,40 rounds to get a load now it’s 6 max

But then again, that’s 20 years of reloading my own ammunition experience, took me to get a load for my 7 x 57, 6rounds of 150gn lead and 4 rounds of copper.

When you know exactly what you want to achieve, it’s all easy and cost-effective
I agree, it does take a little effort but well worth it. I'm fairly new to CF but have taken my 30-06 to a running boar tutorial, done 100m range days and recently spent an afternoon at a shooting range aiming at 150m, 200m amd 250m targets to get a good idea of the aiming points. I'm limiting my hunting to below 150m at the moment until I get a lot more proficient at longer ranges. I'm lucky in that my rifle seems spot on with quite a range of bullet weights, both lead and copper, and I've settled on two copper cartridges for smaller and larger game which are often in stock in local gun shops.

Ahhh you’ve knocked the nail on the head there!

And here lies the problem with all ammunition and calibre, there’s a fashion trend of thrashing the daylights out of your projectile and the only thing that I can figure out why is so people don’t have to think about drop!

And if you don’t wanna think about drop, you have to ask yourself the question why am I shooting a rifle?

People like an easy life. Like an automatic car over a manual 😂 That’s why we have maximum point blank range. Or my newest urge is getting leupolds ballistic dials for your chosen ammo

People are lazy!

When eyes changed and as soon as I needed glasses I bought a new scope with a ballistic turret, got a little cheat sheet in the top of my bino boob harness, but I only use it on ranges over 225, but now days if the deer is over 200, it can bloody stay there or I get closer, what’s why we’re deer stalkers, we’re supposed to creep about to get as close as we can!
