The Essex Oak Tree Gap.

Same field as in the early part of the week but different location, last time I shot here was with my dear friend Simon who sadly passed away,
with quite a strong line coming along the hedge also the Nth wind the gap made a good point to channel birds through, the other Oak is 35 yds so a great distance for a little bit of choke and 30gm 6's the "dirt" has be drilled in a SFI scheme so I dropped a few shell decoys on the edge with my main full bodied ones dotted in the gap!
Toby did his usual good job of picking anything with a bit of life left in it, the usual number crashed into the far hedge and a few falling long out of the sky "dead" which will go to the fox.
87 with 74 picked.

I am seeing birds feeding on there at 7pm but they are just getting a top up before roost, I was set up by 12 yesterday as I had pushed off 200 plus from that corner as it is low, the other low bit is 500 yds away so they went there for a while but then switched to my spot, it kicked off around 1 and kept going till I had enough at 4.30 yes I could stay till then but the pup is at home so 4.30 it was.
Will Garfit said "It is better to be in the right spot for 2 hrs than the wrong one for 4! "
