Are you thinking of countryfile? Why do folk watch these things? It seems masochistic in the least. The television equivalent of having red hot needles stuck under your finger nails? I used to watch it in John Craven's time when it was "Farming Today" for the week ahead weather forecast. I haven't watched it since.
And Robin PageImagine how good it would be if David Bellamy were still with us and hosted it.

My customer was asked to be a trustee of the land charity, pages tactics were to bully the trustees and ignore the money issues. He could write a story but not a person to be trusted

Yes mateIs that the same Robin Page who hosted "One Man & His Dog"
I once rented a cottage on a farm belonging to the (at that time) director of a well-known game conservation charity. He had also written a section of a particular rough shooting book I considered my bible at the time, regarding how landowners appreciated an extra hand now and again. He merrily scribbled on about offering landowners help at lambing. Or hay making. Or beating. Or just generally being amenable and open to helping wherever an extra pair of hands would be useful. I took his written advice to heart, and duly offered to help out on the farm.Yep me too, i thought he seemed ok from his writing but it hid alot
