The GWCT again.

The corollary of this is that the BBC were anything but rigorous in their journalistic presentation but that's nothing new.

The lesson for all of us is, if no-one else is interested in the truth then we MUST be and provide details of how much/many of our depleted natural species are destroyed annually by pets, principally cats. The other critical issue (as I see it) to get to the truth and provide a balanced argument you have to use independent studies from unimpeachable scientific bodies. How many have recently believed what we have heard about deaths due to corona virus ?

I heard this same report on Radio 4 the other day and started to write something to post on here.

However it rapidly descended into a piece that just complained about the BBC, their control of any agenda to suit their own purposes, and their fervent belief that liberal, left-of-centre, pro Urban, Guardianista, type opinions are the only ones that matter.....or indeed that should matter.

The have no understanding of the shooting/country communities and no desire whatever to do so. As far as I can tell they see us as some deranged hangover from a bygone era, and would sooner that we could all be shipped off somewhere so that their concept of how the countryside should be managed could come rapidly into existence. In that respect the BBC and RSPB are ideal bedfellows.

I am only thankful that I stopped having a TV years ago and so no longer contribute to the anachronistic organisation that is the BBC. The sooner they have to compete in the market like anyone else and lose luxury of being funded through a poll tax, the better.
