Watched a few deer this morning I had taken some ordinary video of a sambar stag in velvet yesterday (soft) and went back today to try for another look. Didn't see any stags but followed a hind and calf for a while and she visited a fresh-ish rub tree and had a very good sniff over it. I couldnt get a better lens avenue while she was there and the clearer rub tree pic was taken after she moved.
The wary hind sighted unidentified movement (me) and went left uphill for 75 yards, then across to her right to a vantage point to look over her back track and to see over any dangers.

Thanks bg. The feed is lush after our La Nina effect over summer and it shows in the condition of the deer, roly poly billy bunters they are indeed.
That velvet knobby is one for the rifle, young, fat, juicy and tender. He would still weigh circa 300 lbs liveweight.
