The Three-Calibre British Hunter – What would you choose?

Mine are .223 rem, 6.5x55 SE and .308 which I udner stand will cater for all but the most dangerous game, which I couldn't bring myself to shoot anyway.

Personally I don't bother with vermin, so in all reality you only need 2 calibres and thats 270 win and 30-06 but I really do have an itch for a 338-06

I'd stick with my .222 and get rid of my 243 and 308 and replace with a 6.5 ( unsure about chamberings, either 6.5x47 or Creedmore) and then book a boar hunt abroad and get a .375H&H and have if opened for UK large deer. Pretty much all species worldwide covered then too.

6.5x55mm:
140gr for everything in the UK
156/160gr for everything anywhere else

I'm too cheap to buy anything that will get used very little...!
