Theft

Cut a hole in the vehicles floor missing all the essentials then when you get home press a button and up comes a bollard through the floor, as long as you park right on top of it, going off road in a flood is out though.

Fit a ramp, like in a mechanic shop, Google mechanic if your uncertain what a mechanic is. Lift your truck up then take the fuse out of the ramp. Simples

One of these would probably wake the neighbours, and as a bonus, could make the perps s**t themselves:

I've got an apple air tag hidden in mine, cheap alternative to mobile tracking.
Air tags now warn users that a tag is following them to prevent stalking etc. This may work well as a deterrent if the thieves have Apple phones and they can't locate the tag so decide to ditch the vehicle.

And i have made and installed many . Contract maintenance / repair of powered gates goes up a lot once the customer is out of std warranty .
Well you can't expect a warranty to last forever can you?

Set of manual gates with a chain then for those who can't afford the potential maintenance cost.

Try not to show off what you have or might have and get a good dog or better a few good dogs . Some folks have Amazing car collections - but you wont see them sat out on the driveway in plain view especially at night.
So just dont own any nice stuff?
Thats a bit of an indictment of the current state of law enforcement.
I’m not saying that you’re wrong, but something definitely is.

Sorry for your loss, but sadly these stories seem to be becoming ever more common and we all ultimately end up paying the cost through increased insurance premiums.

I cannot believe in this day and age that all vehicles are not factory fitted with multiple trackers to thwart the thieves. I am also of the opinion that punishment should be way harsher for those caught which might just act as a deterent. Maybe we should copy some middle east countries, as it must be a bit harder to steal a car with only one hand...

45mm wall + the hardfacing 9" 2mm Worth slitting disc

Aye but not often do thieves carry a 9" grinder with them.

Hardfacing, well should i say most widely available hardfacing, doesn't really slow down an abrasive disc.

I have some products here which make it much much more difficult to grind through, far too expensive for most though. spherical carbide in touch nickel matrix is one.

With the above being 40mm thick i was just looking to slow them down or at least run the batteries out on their grinder before they could get through.
