I like seeing venison in mainstream outlets but not like this. No one would rush to buy a whole lamb if it was lying there in its fleece, half the guts still in it and no where near a fridge. Why do we think it’s “quaint” to see deer handled with such little respect??

I don’t think there's a lack of respect shown there.

Regardless of if people think it’s good to see - having fur on animals next to other meats is asking for trouble in this day and age. There will be all manner of beasties and sh*te on the fur - it’s unavoidable….not something you want on your butchered chops…

On the Faroe Islands you can also get sheep's heads that have been burned with fur on.
Personally, I don't like the smell.

Yes, there is strong demand for skin-on sheep meat in the UK, hence why NSA has been working hard to find a legal route to market that would benefit UK sheep producers.
