This years fawns?

That's wild that Its legal, every day Is a learning day I supose.
I doubt I'd have shot it personally, but not aware of the full circumstances so trying to keep to the legal aspect rather than what's palatable to different folk!

England.
October 1st+ onwards.
Roe
Male.

Doe was not shot, only her male kid, by a paying client.

That's kind of my confusion wouldn't there have too be a means/intention on shooting the doe? If It was crops and he was shooting out of season should it be him that's shooting it?

Very weird scenario I struggled to find anything on it besides remembering here like a year ago I read up on it and the consensus was It was illegal.
Nothing wrong there.
It might seem unpalatable to be shooting youngsters, but it's legal in the scenario you describe.

Can these be shot right this second? I seen a post on social media of someone shooting one, I dont think its legal this time of year right? I was under the impression regardless of sex they fall under the doe season until the buck season opens the following year for male kids.
As soon as I can see the morning of November 1st, I’ll be shooting does and kid’s

If I’m out and about and I see a male red calf I’ll roll it over

Lee - do you shoot doe then kid or kid then doe? Interested in your experience 👍
What ever stands still first and 9 out of 10 times on roe you’ll get both or 3 if your quick enough, I’m well over the threshold of diplomacy of what to shoot first.

On herd species find the lead doe of hind wollop that over and keep shooting until the mags empty

I guess that answers my question from last year If I can take a stag calf late winter if the freezer Is looking a little low.

Personally I would always opt for a nice tender one for the freezer however I would only shoot a calf/fawn once the does/hinds are in season. Difference between "can" and "would" 👍

Why late winter? Your north of the wall, times will be hard come winter, I would roll the bugger over how of you can find me big enough
